Fogler, Rubinoff LLP is seeking a mid-level Associate with 3-5 years post-call experience to join its growing employment and labour team. The successful candidate will carry files independently and work alongside experienced practitioners on larger matters. Duties include drafting employment contracts, workplace policies, pleadings, litigation briefs, memoranda and correspondence, providing practical day-to-day employment advice, handling small claims and simplified procedure litigation, supporting senior lawyers on wrongful dismissal actions, grievance arbitrations and human rights applications, managing plaintiff and employee-side employment files, drafting HR policies, providing HR training and supporting the employment and labour group as needed. Experience with human rights applications is required. Experience with WSIB-related matters, wrongful competition matters, Labour Relations Board applications and corporate transaction advice is an asset but not required.
