Lead a nature-based early childhood classroom where outdoor exploration is central to the curriculum. Duties include planning hands-on activities, documenting children's growth, supporting co-teacher reports, mentoring staff and volunteers, providing coverage as needed, engaging families, orienting new enrollees, participating in conferences, conducting safety checks and fire drills, and maintaining required certifications and documentation. The position is part-time, approximately 22 to 24 hours per week, with paid preparation time, holidays, and seasonal breaks. Preferred qualifications include EEC Lead Teacher Professional Certification and experience with nature-based or experiential learning. Required qualifications include a suitable background check and EEC StrongStart Essentials 2.0 training and refresher. The role requires outdoor work, frequent bending and squatting, trail walking, and lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds. Anticipated pay is $28 per hour.
