Details.
The project examines the day-to-day association of daytime napping with subsequent nighttime sleep characteristics among older adults using data from the Whitehall II cohort. The study includes objective assessment of daytime napping and nighttime sleep through wrist accelerometer data collected over nine full days from 4,000 participants aged 60 to 83. Linear mixed models will be used, with analyses controlled for socio-demographic, lifestyle and health factors. A good understanding of statistical models, some basis in epidemiology and very good knowledge of R programming are essential.
