This 36-month PhD project will examine the feasibility of generating evidence from target trial emulation in underrepresented populations and develop a framework to guide evidence generation. Planned research includes assessing feasibility using selected data sources, identifying barriers and solutions through expert consultations, and developing a framework through literature review and iterative expert discussions. The candidate will participate in EDICT doctoral and network-wide training, complete two secondment placements, and work in an international clinical epidemiology unit at CRESS METHODS in Paris. Applicants need a Master's degree or equivalent in epidemiology, public health, biostatistics, or a closely related field, demonstrated research potential and analytical skills, collaborative ability, and fluency in English. An interest in equity, diversity and inclusion in clinical research and target trial emulation is an asset. The position starts in September 2026 and is full time under MSCA rules, with paid leave, social benefits, mobility and family allowances.
