A 12-month paid, part-time cadetship for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students enrolled in or completing legal studies. Cadets work 14 hours per week within the Law Reform and Legal Services Division, gaining legal professional experience alongside support from mentors for cultural commitments and studies. The program offers rotations across teams, structured support and a pathway to the graduate stream and, after completing the graduate program, full-time employment. Essential requirements include Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander identity, enrolment in or completion of an undergraduate, combined undergraduate or postgraduate law degree, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a willingness to learn on the job. No previous legal work experience is required.
