A graduate placement for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants who have recently completed their legal studies or are undertaking the Graduate Diploma of Legal Studies, also known as PLT. The placement runs for 24 months, with ongoing employment opportunities within the Law Reform and Legal Services Division upon successful completion. Graduates can rotate across multiple positions to develop their interests and explore future career options, and receive employment support, mentoring and cultural support. Participants undertaking PLT can complete the practical component as part of their employment. Essential requirements include Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander identity, completion of undergraduate or postgraduate studies within the past 12 months or expected completion within three months after application, excellent written and verbal communication skills, effective time management, and a willingness to learn on the job. No previous legal work experience is required.
