Adjuvant treatment for visible varicose veins, usually performed alongside glue therapy. Foam is injected into superficial veins under ultrasound guidance. A firm bandage and/or Class II compression stocking may be applied afterwards. Mobility is advised after treatment, and air travel is not advised for 4 to 6 weeks following foam sclerotherapy.
