A face-to-face trade qualification for carpenters in residential and commercial workplaces. The course covers setting out, manufacturing, constructing, assembling, installing and repairing products made from timber and non-timber materials. It is suitable for overseas students seeking a career in carpentry, entry into a new industry sector or a pathway to higher-level qualifications. Credit and recognition of prior learning may allow students with existing skills and knowledge to complete the course in a shorter timeframe. Includes learning resources, trainer and assessor support by phone and email, support services listed in Learner Support, and certificate and record of results issuance. Entry requirements include being at least 18 years old, completion of Year 12 or equivalent, a course entry interview, IELTS 5.5 or equivalent English proficiency, and an LLN test.
