Free college meals

You may be eligible for free college meals for the days you are timetabled if you are aged 16-18, or 19 to 25 with an Education, Health and Care Plan, and you or your guardians receive an eligible benefit or meet the stated income criteria. Eligible benefits include Income Support, income-based Jobseeker's Allowance, income-related Employment and Support Allowance, support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999, the guaranteed element of State Pension Credit, qualifying Child Tax Credit with annual gross income up to £16,190, or Universal Credit with net earnings not exceeding the equivalent of £7,400 per year.

Free courses for adult learners

Most Entry Level, Level 1 or Level 2 courses are free, regardless of your age or income, as long as you meet the residency requirements. Learners may need to provide proof of income or employment, or evidence of benefits, at enrolment. Some learners aged 19 or older may also be able to study eligible Level 3 courses for free, subject to age, qualification, residency, employment, income and benefits criteria. Two-year Extended Diplomas, A Levels and Access to HE Diplomas are excluded from the specified Level 3 funding. Additional fees may apply to some courses.
