You may be eligible for a discretionary bursary if you are aged between 16 and 19, or 19 to 25 with an Education, Health and Care Plan, have a household income up to £35,000 and have financial need. Discretionary bursaries are means-tested and are intended to support travel, books, equipment, exam fees and other essential course-related costs. The amount depends on your educational financial needs. Travel support is based on how far a learner travels to their centre of study and takes account of TfL and other transport provider discount schemes.
