A long-term care insurance benefit available when the main caregiver is unavailable due to holiday, illness or private appointments. Replacement care can be provided by the care service, through short-term care or by another private person. The benefit can be combined with other services. The maximum amount is around 3,500 EUR. Eligibility generally starts at care grade 2. An application must be submitted to the long-term care insurance fund, with support available from the service.
