Help hospital staff with tasks, support patients and visitors, and bring goodwill and enthusiasm to the hospitals. Volunteers do not carry out or shadow clinical work, work experience, or direct patient care. A minimum commitment of 4 hours per week for 6 months is required, and volunteers must be at least 18 years old. A variety of roles are available, with support and training provided, including health and safety, fire evacuation, infection control, basic life support if desired, and safeguarding. There are no short-term volunteering opportunities. Recruitment for new volunteers is currently closed until the new year.
