The role combines hands-on clinical nursing and leadership responsibilities, including assisting veterinarians with consultations, hospital care and surgical procedures, performing pathology and radiography, providing post-operative care, preparing medications, communicating treatment plans to clients, supervising and mentoring the nursing team, coordinating workflows, managing rosters, supporting staff development, coordinating admissions and patient flow, monitoring stock, supporting reception and improving clinic procedures. Applicants should hold a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, have at least 5 years of veterinary practice experience, and have a strong understanding of surgical nursing, anaesthesia monitoring and patient care. Previous leadership experience is highly regarded.
