Bunbury Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced veterinary nurse to lead and develop the nursing team across companion animal and equine services. Responsibilities include mentoring nurses and animal care attendants, coordinating onboarding and professional development, supporting best practice nursing care, anaesthesia, hospitalisation and infection control, coordinating daily nursing activities, assisting with rostering and resource planning, improving systems and processes, and contributing to hospital leadership. Applicants should have a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, significant veterinary nursing experience, previous leadership, supervisory or senior nursing experience, strong mentoring and coaching skills, excellent communication and organisational ability, a passion for patient care and nursing excellence, and the ability to work across companion animal and equine services. The permanent full-time position offers a competitive salary package of $75,000 to $80,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on experience, relocation and accommodation assistance, one return flight to the East Coast each year, a laptop, ongoing professional development and leadership training, and support from the Apiam Animal Health network.
