Act as Bloomsbury Institute’s UKVI Compliance Officer, taking full responsibility for international Student Sponsor compliance under the Student route. The role involves ensuring compliance with the UKVI Immigration Rules, Student Sponsor Guidance, and the Institute’s policies and procedures; reviewing documentation for CAS issuing; drafting, generating and issuing Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies; tracking issued CAS and visa applications; monitoring and reporting changes in Sponsored Student circumstances; monitoring attendance and engagement; assisting with international student enrolment; maintaining accurate student records and visa expiry dates; building effective working relationships across the Institute; and keeping up to date with immigration compliance policy and legislative changes. Essential criteria include an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, or equivalent professional qualification or experience; experience in a UKVI compliance function involving Sponsored Students within a higher education environment; experience complying with UKVI legislation and guidance; experience using the UKVI Sponsorship Management System and a CRM system; experience dealing with international student applications and culturally diverse students; strong communication, interpersonal, organisational and prioritisation skills; computer literacy including Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Microsoft Teams; and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Experience using Enroly, UKVI compliance visits and audits, and a Student Record Management System is desirable. The role is based at 7 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3RA, with 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08.00 to 18.00. Following training and induction, it is a hybrid post requiring on-site work at least three days per week. Salary is Grade 1, £25,980 to £36,480, with 25 days’ holiday plus public holidays and a contributory pension scheme.
