Support teachers in the classroom to raise pupils' learning and attainment, promote independence, self-esteem and social inclusion, and help all pupils access the curriculum and participate in learning. The role includes supervising and working with groups of children across Early Years, Key Stage One or Key Stage Two, conducting learning clinics, supporting teaching programmes and reading groups, monitoring progress, assisting with assessment and record keeping, promoting safeguarding and pupil welfare, supporting school activities and trips, and helping maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment. Applicants should have a calm, positive and cheerful manner, enjoy working as part of a team, hold NVQ Level 3, and have experience in Early Years, Key Stage One and/or Key Stage Two settings. Applicants should be approachable and flexible, able to build relationships with adults and children, and willing to undertake training. GCSE English and Maths knowledge relevant to the role is required. A current First Aid certificate is advantageous. The post supports and promotes the Catholic ethos of the school and is term time only, working 8.00am to 4.00pm during school hours.
