Manage Bloomsbury Institute's frontline Student Advice and Wellbeing Service, providing students with prompt, consistent and practical advice, support and guidance. The role includes line management of two Student Advice and Wellbeing Officers, developing and enhancing pastoral support and advice services, referring students to relevant teams, analysing student intervention data, writing evidence-based evaluation reports, managing engagement intervention projects, and delivering and developing peer learning and peer mentoring schemes. The postholder will train and support PAL Leaders and Peer Mentors, work with academic, marketing and IT colleagues, and support the Let's Grow employability programme and preliminary investigations of student complaints as required. Essential criteria include an undergraduate degree or equivalent, significant experience in student advice, support or student services in higher education, team and staff line management experience, customer service experience, strong data analysis and Excel skills, experience writing evaluation reports, excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to manage projects and change. The role is based at 7 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3RA, with occasional home working permitted at the line manager's discretion.
