The Australian Childhood Trauma Group is seeking a Social Worker based in Fitzroy for part time 0.8 FTE or full time 1.0 FTE employment. The role provides clinical services for children, young people, families and adults, including psychological assessments, therapeutic support, feedback sessions and secondary consultation. Responsibilities include maintaining client notes and clinical documentation, working collaboratively with external services, participating in clinical projects, contributing to training, and attending individual and group supervision. The role offers specialist experience in trauma informed care, a supportive team environment, professional development and internal supervision, flexible working arrangements, and opportunities to support clinical and consultancy services. Essential requirements include AASW registration as a Social Worker, a current driver's licence, a valid Working with Children Check, National Police Checks as required, at least three years of clinical experience with children, young people and families impacted by trauma, assessment experience, knowledge of trauma informed practice and systemic approaches to therapy, and strong communication, report writing, organisational and computer skills. The successful applicant must be able to travel for outreach work, work outside normal business hours including interstate travel, and meet child safety, confidentiality and professional registration requirements.
