Taylor Howes Designs is seeking a Senior Technical Designer to join its team and work on innovative luxury interior projects. Responsibilities include carrying out measured surveys, checking and approving supplier and subcontractor drawings, maintaining administrative records, checking schedules and control packs, developing architectural space and floor plans and drawing packages, creating standard details, liaising with clients and external technical teams, providing design solutions for custom FF&E, attending introductory meetings and site visits, documenting minutes, responding to contractor and supplier requests for information, and working with the Design Director to develop drawing standards. Applicants should have a relevant Interior Design or Interior Architecture qualification, a proven record of developing technical packages for large, high-end projects, strong client and teamwork skills, excellent attention to detail, project management skills, knowledge of technical design, 2D and 3D drawing skills including AutoCAD and SketchUp, proficiency with Macs, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office, and 3-5 years of professional design experience. The role requires a creative, flexible, organised and conscientious approach, with passion for design and the ability to work in a fast-moving business environment.
