Tremendous opportunity for a CPA with 10+ years of experience to become a partner in a rapidly growing CPA practice and join the dynamic team in the Woodbury, New York office to transition a retiring partner. The role involves transitioning a high volume of write-up and tax clients, planning, supervising, and completing engagements, assigning and supervising staff, developing client relationships, identifying additional services and workplace efficiencies, applying current tax and regulatory knowledge, reviewing engagement work papers, training team members, and assisting with administrative functions. Requirements include excellent communication skills, a positive and team-oriented attitude, experience with tax preparation software and Microsoft Office, knowledge of Thomson Reuters UltraTax CS or CCH ProSystem FX and Intuit QuickBooks, knowledge of current tax laws, proficiency preparing individual, fiduciary, corporate, partnership, sales tax, and multistate returns, strong organization and attention to detail, a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, an active New York CPA license, at least 10 years of recent continuous CPA firm experience, extensive write-up and sales tax experience, and experience as a tax professional. This is full-time work in the Woodbury office with travel to client offices. Salary is commensurate with experience and includes a bonus structure and comprehensive benefits package with a 401(k).
