Full-time position based in Boston or Springfield, Massachusetts, Concord, New Hampshire, or Providence, Rhode Island, working on cases across all three districts. The specialist provides advanced legal research and writing services, reviews discovery, prepares pleadings, briefs, and motions, organizes records, assists with litigation strategies, prepares client and attorney memoranda, tracks changes in relevant law, may meet with clients, assist with appellate litigation, make court arguments in certain circumstances, and mentor or supervise interns. Applicants must have a JD from an accredited law school, admission to practice before the highest court of a state or the District of Columbia, at least three years of post-law school experience, strong criminal procedure knowledge, superior research, writing, and analytical skills, authorization to work in the United States, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Criminal defense, judicial clerkship, appellate, or additional-language experience is preferred.
