Paralegal/Investigator Intern

This voluntary, year-round internship is for students enrolled in a college or paralegal educational program, or taking equivalent studies, and requires at least 12 hours per week during the enrolled semester. Interns work with experienced paralegals, investigators, and attorneys in San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose, with some travel anticipated. Tasks include reviewing and indexing discovery, preparing chronologies and witness lists, processing discovery, organizing information, assisting with trial materials and filings, requesting and summarizing records, assisting with mitigation, and identifying and interviewing witnesses under supervision. Applicants should demonstrate interest in representing indigent persons, effective writing and communication, organization, problem solving, initiative, accountability, confidentiality, multitasking, and the ability to follow instructions.
