Details.
Legal interns assist trial and appellate attorneys with legal research, drafting pleadings, analyzing discovery, trial preparation, and sentencing mitigation. Applicants must have strong legal research, analytical, written, and oral communication skills, be highly motivated, detail oriented, organized, collaborative, and interested in indigent defense or public interest work. The summer program generally accepts 2L students, requires 40 hours per week for 10 weeks, and does not offer part-time internships. Depending on funding, the office pays $25 per hour and does not provide overtime or benefits.
