Paralegals in the Juvenile Division assist attorneys by conducting legal research, preparing motions, responses, subpoenas, pleadings, and trial materials, reviewing documents and discovery, interviewing clients and caregivers, maintaining case files and databases, attending staffings, obtaining records, coordinating interviews and meetings, and supporting special projects. A bachelor's degree and a paralegal certificate from an American Bar Association approved program or an approved law degree are required, with three or more years of relevant paralegal experience accepted in lieu of the certificate or law degree. Strong professional judgment, communication, organization, analytical, legal research, LexisNexis, Excel, and Microsoft Office skills are required.
