The Iceberg Foundation is seeking a Mental Health Therapist to deliver evidence-based, affirming, relational and healing-centred therapeutic support to participants in a hybrid role based in Footscray and online via telehealth. The role includes managing an individual caseload, contributing occasionally to group and community programs, providing culturally responsive, neurodivergent-affirming and somatically aware care, conducting outreach therapy when required, responding to participant risk, maintaining clinical records, preparing reports and Medicare documentation, and participating in clinical supervision and team development. Applicants must hold a relevant tertiary qualification in social work, psychology or occupational therapy, have current Medicare provider eligibility or an active pathway to obtain it, EMDR training or an active commitment to commence it within three months, and at least 2 to 3 years of post-qualification clinical experience with adults. Experience with LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent and/or global majority communities, trauma-responsive practice, cultural humility and structural inequity is required. The position offers flexible hybrid working arrangements, clinical supervision, professional development, EMDR consultation, therapeutic resources and a values-led, identity-affirming multidisciplinary team environment. The position is ongoing and 0.2 to 0.6 FTE, with remuneration under the Health Professionals and Support Services Award 2020 and up to $15,900 per annum in salary sacrifice available to eligible registered charity employees.
