Johnson & Bell is seeking litigation paralegals for its Chicago and Crown Point, Indiana offices. The Chicago role works with attorneys and support staff throughout the lifecycle of clients' legal issues, including legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, managing e-discovery, organizing case files and assisting during trials. The Crown Point role requires defense litigation experience, including drafting discovery, reviewing and compiling production documents, preparing medical record requests, researching and retaining experts, preparing medical chronologies and specials summaries, and preparing deposition summaries. Qualifications include a bachelor's degree, 3 or more years of civil litigation experience, proficiency with Microsoft 365 and document review platforms, strong legal research skills using Lexis-Nexis, experience with legal case management and document review, and knowledge of litigation procedures. A paralegal certificate is preferred, and Odyssey e-file, federal court filing, Rule 26 disclosures and trial experience are helpful. The salary range is $60,000 to $70,000, based on experience and location, with comprehensive benefits, paid time off and professional development support.
