Johnson & Bell is seeking associate trial lawyers with at least two years of litigation experience for medical malpractice, municipal liability, retail and transportation team openings in its Chicago and Northern Indiana offices. Responsibilities include legal research, drafting motions and briefs, attending hearings, conducting depositions, representing clients in court, participating in client meetings and collaborating with legal professionals. These onsite positions involve regular courtroom work and potential regional travel for trials and client work. Candidates must have a J.D. from an accredited law school, admission to the Illinois or Indiana Bar or a state with reciprocal admission, and civil litigation or trial practice experience. Strong research, analytical, communication, organizational and ethical practice skills are required. Insurance defense, premises liability, health care, transportation litigation and deposition experience are pluses. The salary range is $110,000 to $150,000, depending on experience, with quarterly and year-end bonuses and comprehensive benefits.
