Sills Cummis & Gross P.C. is seeking a highly motivated Land Use Attorney with 5 to 7 years of relevant experience to join its statewide Land Use Practice Group within the firm's Redevelopment Law Practice Group. The successful candidate will represent developers, property owners, public utilities, and institutional clients in land use and redevelopment matters throughout New Jersey. Responsibilities include obtaining and defending land use approvals and permits, advising on redevelopment projects, conducting land use due diligence, and managing land use and redevelopment litigation. Candidates must be admitted to practice law in New Jersey and have substantial experience with complex land use and zoning matters. Experience with redevelopment and related real estate development matters is a plus. The position offers the opportunity to work on significant development and redevelopment projects in New Jersey. Requirements include experience before municipal land use boards and governmental agencies, knowledge of New Jersey's land use regulatory framework, redevelopment experience, litigation familiarity, due diligence experience, and the ability to collaborate with clients and project professionals. Candidates must possess a JD from an accredited law school and demonstrate strong legal research, writing, advocacy, negotiation, and independent matter management skills. The anticipated salary range is $210,000 to $230,000, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and overall fit.
