Based in the City of London, CC Young is a music specialist firm of accountants and tax advisors supporting artists, songwriters and their teams. The role includes maintaining books and records using Sage Line 50 or XERO, managing client day to day affairs, posting and reconciling banking, tour float, sales, purchase and credit card transactions, reviewing agency statements, preparing VAT returns, and assisting with debtor and creditor management. Responsibilities also include holding a small client portfolio, preparing sole trader, partnership, Ltd and LLP management and year end accounts, assisting with client onboarding, cashflows, insurance and bank accounts, reviewing VAT returns, communicating with artist management, booking agents, tour managers, insurers, suppliers and record labels, setting up approved bank payments, raising sales invoices and handling tour support requests. Applicants should have 2 to 4 years of practice experience, with previous music accountancy experience desirable, be part qualified, studying ACA or ACCA, or QBE, and have knowledge of business management, royalties income streams, Sage and XERO.
