Lead the development and implementation of finance operational areas, including systems, processes and redesign, and create and manage an annual finance calendar. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, developing and overseeing the annual budget, managing and forecasting cash flow, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards, overseeing audits and payroll, managing OfS funding returns, developing finance policies and procedures, implementing new systems, presenting findings to internal and external audiences, and line managing and training the Finance team. The role requires an undergraduate degree, an accounting qualification such as CIMA, ACA, ACCA or CIPA, significant finance experience within a higher education provider, experience leading teams and developing processes, knowledge of the SLC regulatory framework, advanced Excel skills, strong data analysis and reporting abilities, and excellent communication and organisational skills.
