The Boston Region Metropolitan Planning Organization seeks a Director of Policy and Planning to join its leadership team and report to the Executive Director. The role leads the agency's policy and programmatic work, including its long-range plan, transportation investment program, annual work plan, federal requirements process, civil rights matters, board engagement, resource allocation, and relationships with government and community partners. The director leads and develops a multidisciplinary team, supports managers, promotes high-quality research and analysis, and provides strategic policy and planning guidance. Qualifications include knowledge of transportation principles, long-term planning, and capital investment planning; personnel management experience; budget and resource management experience; strong communication and time management skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software; and a master's degree in planning, engineering, public policy, public management, or a related field with at least eight years of transportation planning or public management experience, including five years of progressively responsible managerial experience.
