A growing alternative investment manager is seeking a highly motivated and commercially minded Deputy Chief Compliance Officer & Associate General Counsel to join its lean, entrepreneurial legal and compliance team. The role works closely with senior leadership and helps scale the firm's compliance and legal infrastructure amid significant business growth and product expansion. Responsibilities include supporting the firm's compliance and regulatory framework, preparing for SEC examinations, enhancing the compliance program across multiple investment strategies and products, advising on AI governance and emerging technology tools, integrating new investment products and private markets strategies, supporting fund-related legal matters, and working cross-functionally across the organization. Candidates should have a blend of legal, regulatory, and in-house compliance experience in alternative investment management, experience with multi-strategy or complex investment platforms, familiarity with private markets products, intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to work across functions. The role offers potential progression into the Chief Compliance Officer function, broad legal and compliance scope, an opportunity to build AI governance infrastructure, and a highly visible position in a lean, collaborative culture. Compensation is $250K to $350K base and $500K to $725K all-in.
