Payne & Fears is seeking an experienced employment law attorney for its Counsel program. The position offers flexible and reduced billable hours compared with a standard Associate position, with a minimum expectation of 1,200 to 1,500 hours annually. This is a non-partner-track, hybrid position requiring three days per week in the office. The role primarily assists with litigation and pre-litigation employment matters. Applicants must have at least three full years of private-sector California employment law experience, be licensed and in good standing with the California bar, and demonstrate excellent academics, strong written communication and analytical skills, excellent courtroom demeanor, organization, attention to detail, openness to constructive feedback, and teamwork. Locations include Irvine, El Segundo, San Francisco, and Las Vegas, with Irvine preferred. The anticipated salary range is $130,000 to $240,000, depending on experience, accomplishments, negotiated billable hours, and geographic location.
