BreastScreen Victoria is seeking an Aboriginal-identified Community Engagement Coordinator to manage engagement activities and projects that support and improve Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participation in breast screening. The role leads the Beautiful Shawl Project, including project planning, partner coordination, screening visits, community events, training, consultations, reporting and evaluation. It also contributes to Aboriginal community engagement, the Reconciliation Action Plan, the Aboriginal Advisory Group and initiatives supporting underserved communities. The position requires project management, community engagement, communication, collaboration, stakeholder negotiation, reporting, organisational and problem-solving skills. A degree or relevant experience in public health, health promotion, community engagement, project management or a related discipline is essential. The role requires travel and occasional overnight stays within Victoria, a full driver's licence and a Working with Children check. This is an Aboriginal Designated Position, and applications are accepted from people who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
