BreastScreen Victoria is seeking an Aboriginal-identified Community Engagement Coordinator to manage engagement activities and projects supporting and improving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participation in breast screening. The role leads the planning, delivery, monitoring and reporting of the Beautiful Shawl Project, coordinates meetings and partnerships, attends screening visits and community engagements across Victoria, delivers training, develops accessible and culturally sensitive materials, facilitates consultations, maintains stakeholder relationships and reports on project outcomes. The role also contributes to Aboriginal community engagement initiatives, the Reconciliation Action Plan, the Aboriginal Advisory Group and programs supporting underserved groups. Applicants need a degree or relevant experience in public health, health promotion, community engagement, project management or a related discipline, strong communication, stakeholder negotiation, reporting, organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, Microsoft Office proficiency, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. The position requires travel and overnight stays within Victoria, a full driver's licence and a Working with Children check. BreastScreen Victoria will only accept applications from people who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
