Goetz Platzer seeks an experienced commercial litigator with at least 5 years of New York practice experience. The role involves managing a caseload with partner oversight, preparing pleadings, discovery and motion practice, conducting depositions, court appearances and trials, drafting motions and pleadings, resolving disputes, and advocating for clients in court. Candidates should have commercial litigation experience, detailed knowledge of the CPLR, a JD from an accredited law school, active New York State Bar membership in good standing, strong legal research, negotiation, analytical, communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment. Labor and employment experience and New Jersey admission are pluses. Annual base salary is $160,000 or more, with additional benefits described on the page. The firm is not seeking insurance defense litigators or attorneys.
