Guide youth and families through recovery at Casa Lil Hawk, a community-based, Medi-Cal-funded ASAM Level 3.1 youth residential substance use disorder treatment program. Duties include individual and group counseling, psychoeducation, care coordination, risk assessment, treatment monitoring, crisis mediation and intervention, daily living skills support, treatment planning under LPHA guidance, evidence-based interventions, medication management support, documentation, team collaboration, family engagement, referrals and coordination with schools, probation and child welfare systems. Applicants need at least two years as a Certified SUD Counselor through CADTP, CCAPP or CAADE, experience with adolescent or developmentally focused substance use disorder treatment and co-occurring mental health disorders, experience with trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, CBT and relapse prevention, communication and conflict resolution skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to pass a DOJ/FBI background check. Bilingual ability in Tagalog, Spanish, Russian, Chinese or Vietnamese is strongly preferred. Valid First Aid and CPR certification is required, with training available upon hire. Several full-time and part-time positions are available, including a Lead Facility Manager SUD Counselor role.
