Blue Mountains City Council is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced independent member for its Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee. Members provide robust, objective and unbiased advice and independent assurance regarding financial management, risk management, internal controls, legislative compliance, and internal and external audit planning and reporting. Applicants should be a member or recently retired member of CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, or the Institute of Internal Auditors, with relevant knowledge and experience in areas including finance, risk management, auditing, financial reporting, governance or business operations. Meetings are generally held four times a year, with an additional meeting for the financial statements. The appointment is for up to four years, with a possible extension. Remuneration includes a meeting sitting fee inclusive of preparation time. Expressions of interest close at 5.00pm on 11 September 2026.
