A leading insurance carrier is seeking an experienced Claims Examiner to join its General Liability team. This technical role handles mid to complex Commercial General Liability claims across a diverse portfolio, managing claims from first notice through resolution with a focus on coverage analysis, litigation strategy, and stakeholder management. Responsibilities include handling premises liability, slip and fall, and other bodily injury claims; writing coverage letters and decisions; managing litigated files and coordinating defense counsel; evaluating liability, damages, and settlement exposure; maintaining relationships with brokers, insureds, attorneys, and internal stakeholders; and ensuring compliance with company guidelines and industry best practices. The role requires 3+ years of Commercial General Liability claims experience, exposure to coverage investigation and litigated files, experience with a reputable carrier or law firm, and a bachelor's degree. Experience with construction bodily injury, NYLL, or builders risk claims is beneficial. Industry designations such as AIC or CPCU are a plus. The position offers a $100,000 to $120,000 base salary, a 10% annual bonus, flexible hybrid working with 2 days in the office and 3 days remote per week, benefits including PTO, a 401(k) plan and medical insurance, and a clear progression path within a growing claims organization.
