Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, split between Morrama's Hackney office and working from home. Responsibilities include leading design projects, making engineering decisions, presenting work to clients and suppliers, and supporting and mentoring junior team members. The role requires involvement in projects from research to completion, collaborative working, proactive time management, developing designs in 3D CAD with consideration for manufacture and assembly, project leadership, sustainable design, and ongoing professional development. The ideal candidate has at least 6 years of industry experience, a background in complex electronic assemblies, complete competence in SolidWorks including surface modelling and injection moulding parts, experience leading projects and working with suppliers and junior team members, confidence in communication and presentation, and experience working directly with factories including in the Far East.
