Deliver adventure-based programs for groups of 10 to 15 middle school, high school, college and adult participants. Lead team building activities, trust exercises, hiking, orienteering, low and high ropes course elements, and rock climbing, while emphasizing leadership, teamwork, positive communication, trust, community, environmental education and conflict resolution. Additional duties may include preparing food and gear, logistics work, light trail maintenance and researching new activities or locations. Applicants should be over 18, passionate about teaching or working with young people, able to pass a background check, lift at least 25 pounds, work outdoors in all types of weather, speak comfortably in front of groups, and hold a clean driver's license. Wilderness First Aid, Wilderness First Responder, Basic First Aid and CPR, lifeguard certification, and outdoor activity experience are preferred. This is an opportunity to gain experience teaching or working with young people in a non-traditional environment, develop teamwork and leadership skills, work outdoors, and build experience relevant to outdoor adventure, classroom teaching, social work and nonprofit positions.
