Paralegal (Litigation) - summer intern

Four-day summer internship working with SV Law's solicitors on educational placement disputes before the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal, disability discrimination cases, school admissions and exclusions, and related Court of Protection, Family Court and High Court Judicial Review matters. The role offers substantial client contact, including attending meetings and taking witness statements, with experienced paralegals encouraged to advocate at telephone and routine substantive hearings with full support. Applicants need at least an undergraduate degree, preferably a high 2:1 or First Class, or a GDL with merit or distinction. Legal or relevant work experience is desirable but not essential. SV Law is seeking confident verbal and written communicators with good IT, research and analytical skills, a social conscience, an interest in public policy, strong academics, a keen work ethic and motivation to succeed in or explore the legal profession. Internships are formally assessed with a view to a possible full-time paralegal placement for a year from October 2026. The internship is paid at £14 an hour gross under PAYE, with no holiday entitlement for summer interns.
