LASEN Funding Workshop

SV Law hosted a workshop chaired by Satnam Virdi. Attendees discussed SEND Tribunal statistics, media reporting, funding constraints faced by local authorities, differences between maintained and private specialist schools, the increase in Alternative Provision arrangements, potential causes of rising SEND Tribunal cases, challenges parents face in obtaining appropriate support, and possible changes to SEND law or Tribunal processes. A lack of funding was highlighted as the significant issue.
