Review menus, prepare and serve regular and therapeutic meals, follow standardized recipes and special diet orders, inspect special diet trays, prepare snacks and substitute foods, process diet changes, assist with food service production, and maintain sanitation, safety, supplies, and equipment. A high school diploma and a valid California Food Handler's or SERVSAFE card are required. One year of dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or related medical facility is preferred but not necessary. Applicants must be able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
