An eight-week beginning fabrication class with no prior metalworking or art experience required. Students create a copper and brass pendant or pin using sweat soldering, a sterling silver ring, and a stone setting project, with an additional personal project if time allows. Instruction covers plate metal rolling, three-dimensional metal forming, soldering, jeweler's saw and metal file use, flex shaft tools, machine polishing, metal pickle, sonic cleaner, and basic stone setting. The $50 materials fee is included in the class price. Students should confirm availability for all class dates and times before purchase.
