An eight-week beginning fabrication class for students with no prior metalworking or art experience. Students create a pendant or pin using copper and brass, a sterling silver ring, a stone setting project or a stone set in the silver ring, and an additional personal project if time allows. Instruction covers plate metal rolling, three-dimensional metal forming, soldering, jewelers saw and metal file use, flex shaft orientation, machine polishing, metal pickle and sonic cleaner use, and basic stone setting. The price includes a $50 materials fee. Class meets Mondays from September 28 through November 16, 2026.
