Builds students' appreciation of language and texts, and develops skills in responding to texts and composing writing for particular audiences, contexts and purposes. Covers short stories, descriptions, persuasive, informative, discursive and comparative essays, using a multimodal approach. Teaches writing and other macro skills step by step, preparing students for the HSC.
