This hands-on, patient-facing role supports consultant radiologists, doctors and the wider clinical team across ultrasound diagnostics, interventional procedures, bloods and preventative health services. Responsibilities include welcoming and supporting patients, assisting with paperwork and consent forms, explaining procedures, preparing patients for ultrasound, injections, biopsies and blood tests, taking basic observations, supporting cannulation and phlebotomy if trained and competent, preparing clinical rooms and equipment, acting as a chaperone, maintaining accurate records, supporting stock management and clinical audits, and maintaining confidentiality of medical and personal data.
