The McCance Center for Brain Health in the Department of Neurology at Mass General Hospital seeks a highly motivated individual with a background in social and behavioral sciences and/or public health. The Research Fellow will conduct mixed-methods and epidemiological studies using qualitative interviews, focus groups, patient interviews, narrative and discourse analysis, survey development, and quantitative analysis of surveys, clinical assessments, and clinical data. Responsibilities include helping launch pragmatic clinical trials, managing the Community Advisory Board platform, project management, data curation, and patient and community engagement. The role offers opportunities to supervise and lead a team, develop independent projects, and write and apply for independent grant funding. A minimum 2-year commitment is required. Requirements include exceptional organizational skills, advanced scientific writing and communication skills, experience with qualitative patient interviews and analysis, quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills, capacity for independent work, critical thinking and decision making, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong English language skills including medical and scientific terminology, and exceptional computer skills. Experience with R, Nvivo, Dedoose, SAS, or Stata is preferred.
