The Partners Neurorecovery Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital is a one-year clinical training program in neurorecovery and neurorehabilitation. Fellows receive clinical training in managing and providing rehabilitative treatment for people recovering from acute neurological injuries, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and status epilepticus. The role includes inpatient neurorehabilitation consultations at MGH, Spaulding, and affiliated institutions, longitudinal ambulatory care in the MGH Neurorecovery and Spaulding Neurorehabilitation Clinics, and optional clinical electives in the MGH Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit and Clinical Neurophysiology Units. The fellowship also provides substantial protected time for mentored basic, clinical, and translational research in neural repair and neurorecovery, with the goal of generating preliminary data for a transition to an NIH K award or equivalent. Applicants should have completed a residency in Neurology or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and be board-eligible in either specialty. A full license from the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine is required.
